Installing Sliding Passenger Door Window

After two months of waiting, my passenger side sliding door window finally arrived.

I ordered this window from vanwindowdirect.com which is an awesome site that has windows of every size for every type of van you might need. When I ordered, there was a huge shipping delay. I don’t know if it always takes this long but it took two full months for it to come in.

This was a fairly easy project. The window comes with a frame that you put in place and attach to the panel of the van so we took the frame traces the inside of it onto the panel of the van then used a jigsaw to cut out the shape of the window. Next we attached the frame with some caulk and screws before placing the window in the frame and attaching the two with the screws provided.

All in all this installation took less than 1 hour and we did it over lunch before going back inside to take more meetings. The world of remote work has so many possibilities.
