Dead Horse State Park

I was set on seeing all the National Parks in Utah but one place that someone recommended I visit was Dead Horse Point State Park. Situated between Arches and Bryce Canyon is Dead Horse State Park.

Dead Horse Point State Park charges a fee to enter but it is WORTH IT, especially if you have pets on your Utah explorations. Dogs are not allowed on many of the trails in the National Parks but Dead Horse allows dogs on leashes.

This park is a huge canyon and you can see the La Sal Mountains from it. I’ve been to the Grand Canyon and I’m not a huge canyon fanatic but I thought Dead Horse was pretty comparable to it - DO NOT come after me if you are a canyon fanatic. There are trails throughout the park where dogs are allowed.

Tips: Enjoy the Rim Loop that takes you to multiple vantage points overlooking the Colorado River, over Moab, and has views of the La Sal Mountains.
