Swimming in Lake Huron

Swimming in all of the Great Lakes is now only goal. I was hooked after spending a month in Michigan and was ready to get into the other Lakes.

A lot of the Great Lakes’ lakeshore is private property but there are many public access points on to the lake. I found a couple areas on iOverlander that had parking lots where overnight parking is acceptable and there was nearby access.

Lake Huron is notably not as clear as the Lake Michigan water I has been in earlier this summer but the beaches are great! A good place to get some swimming in and an even better place to watch a sunset.
