Sometimes You Sleep At Overlooks

I quickly found out there are not too many free places to camp in north west Texas and found myself sleeping at an overlook for the first time.

When I first arrived at the overlook, I was so tired from driving during the day and figured any place would do to sleep as long as it was safe. I was stilling feeling pretty new to the van world and wasn’t exactly sure what to do at the overlook so I just tried to remain as stealth as possible - letting Marv out to play with his ball, keeping my door almost all the way closed as I worked and went about my day. I even recorded a podcast while at this overlook!

I was quickly learning that the best place to work was a place with strong cell signal so that my hotspot had no trouble connecting. This was by far my biggest concern when I was just getting out into Texas because I wasn't sure what I would do if I couldn’t get logged into work. But everything worked out and I enjoyed a very peaceful sunset and sunrise the next morning from the overlook.
